The Venardi Elam Firm has successfully handled a broad range of cases. Many of our cases come as referrals from other lawyers.  Most of these referrals are from lawyers who do not handle personal injury or contingent fee cases, but we also receive referrals from other personal injury attorneys who do not have the time, expertise or capital resources to properly pursue a particular case.  The Venardi Elam Firm has an established track record of obtaining superior results for its clients through skilled and aggressive representation.

Income from Co-Counsel and Referral Fees

Referral fees are a great way to generate income with no overhead.  The Venardi Elam Firm regularly pays referral fees to other lawyers in accordance with The Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of California.  The Rules state that fees cannot be paid to non-lawyers.  However, referral fees may be paid to co-counsel attorneys with prior consent from the client(s).

Out-of-State Counsel

The Venardi Elam Firm regularly receives referrals from attorneys outside of the State of California.  We also frequently need experienced attorneys in other states for referrals or as co-counsel on our out-of-California cases.  By teaming up with local lawyers on our out-of-state cases, we can give our clients the expertise of the local area as well as local contacts and reduced travel costs.
